Kristina,

Now that we have returned from our trip to Italy, I just wanted to drop you
a note to let you know how much we enjoyed Florence, and your services
in particular.  Your drivers were very professional, and did a great job on our
2 Tuscany day excursions of delivering us to the sights we wanted to see,
in most cases ahead of the tour buses.  Without them, we would not have
been able to see nearly as much as we did.
As a side note, we were also very pleased with the Hotel Davanzati.  The
rooms was nice, and the owners Fabrizio and Tommaso were very helpful and
accomodating. Their evening happy hour was a great way to interact with other
travelers and discuss our adventures.
Again, thank you for all your help.
 Sincerely,
 Glenn and Connie Graham

Kristina,

We returned home yesterday safe and sound.  Today, without delay,

I had to tell you what a GREAT time we had in Nola and Sorrento.

Our mission in Nola to find long lost family was an unsurpassed success.

Thanks to the tour guide from the Tuscany part of our trip, we made

contact with cousins from our grandfather's side of the family. We spent

the evening with them, not returning to our hotel until 1:30am.

The Best Western Hotel Ferrari in Nola was exquisite. The staff spoke

excellent English and was very accommodating. I inadvertently left my

110/220 AC plug converters in Rome, but the staff found one for me and

wouldn't let me pay for it. Also, we went down for breakfast a little late

following the late night with our new found cousins. We arrived as they

were finishing clearing the buffet, but they began to bring food back out

when they saw us come in. I think they would have restocked the entire

buffet, if I hadn't stopped them. Our only problem with this hotel, and it was

expected, was the location. It was fine for our purpose, but this hotel is

absolutely misplaced. The hotel is beautiful!  It belongs in the center of a

major city, but it sits instead in a neighborhood that leaves much to be

desired (e.g. There's a potato processing plant across the street). We did,

however, have a very nice lunch at the restaurant next door.

The Hotel Villa Maria in Sorrento was beautiful. I had read that it was

noisy, as it sits right on the main street. Our room had two windows

(with spectacular views) above the street. We had no problem with noise,

We simply closed the windows and drew the curtains and it was like the

street wasn't there. And last but not least, the thing that brought the trip

together for us; Carlo, our driver and now, I think, our friend. More than

just moving us from place to place, he answered our questions, pointed out

points of interest, and just made the trip more fun. His English is excellent!

His van has comfortable seating, rides very smooth, and he keeps is

immaculately clean. I can't describe how much we appreciated him.

Also, Pina (our guide at Pompeii) was very good. Her English too is

excellent, and her presentation was informative and entertaining. We

learned a great deal from her.

Thank you, Kristina for arranging an excellent tour for us. The next time

we plan a trip to Italy we will be in touch and we will not hesitate to

recommend you to our friends.

Buongiorno..................Ok, our Italian is real good now. Ha, yeah right!

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much we appreciated

all your hard work and effort to make our trip so special.

We loved our stay in Venice. The hotel was great and it was good to have

two rooms there. What a beautiful city and a nice relief from the hustle

bustle of the motorcycles and cars. The Ghost trip was fun and the guide

who explained the history and ledgends of Venice was fabulous. The

soccer match was so much fun- we had a blast there too. The couple that

taught the cooking class provided an experience we'll never forget. We

came home and quickly made the homemade pasta she taught us to cook

for lunch.

We absolutely adored San Gimignano! Not enough time there for my liking

 - what a charming little fortress. Next time we'll branch out to the outskirts

to discover more hidden towns like that.

Our stay back in Rome was perfect. The hotel staff there was so

accomodating and friendly and the room was big enough to fit us nicely.

Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work and excellent planning.

Arrivederci,

Lynn F.

Dear Kristina,

Joe and I want you to know that we loved every minute of our time in Italy and we thank you so much for making it a trip we will never forget. We planned to call you before we left Rome to let you know that we made all our connections without a hitch. Will try to call this week, we're still catching up on everything here. Venice was amazing but we will defenately return since it went by too quickly (same with Florence). The hotel was beautiful (so was the one in Sorrento), with wine and chocolates waiting for us both nights, canopy bed and a wonderful saff. The balcony over looking the canal was breathtaking as was Sorrento's view of the bay. We opted for the water taxi to the airport which was great fun. The opera was in a church and was the complete Madame Butterfly opera in costume with live music, a very special treat! The guides in Venice and Pompei were very informative and we had fun catching the trains. We did encounter rain the last day so we left Sorrento earlier (called the driver and they were able to pick us up) and the train station in Napoli switched are tickets for us at no charge. We stored our luggage for a few hours in Rome and then took the train to the Hilton which was very convenient. Capri was lovely and we were ready to relax so we did very little sight seeing. so much more to tell you and thank you for. We will certainly encourage everyone we speak with to have you plan their trips to Italy for them. Thank you for everything Kristina.

Dear Krissy, Enzo and Giada too,

There are not enough words to express our gratitude for a wonderful trip to Italy. First of all, Wes and I would have never traveled to Europe, if not for you. Your itinerary was so well planned. The booklet of the trip was extremely helpful in mentally preparing ahead for the next few days. Wes and I are not typical tourist and were apprehensive on participating in a structured vacation. But your schedule left us plenty of free time to do the extra things we wanted to do and not feel confined. We especially enjoyed the visits to local restaurants that were not typical tourist stops that had a charm all of their own.

Thank you so much for your help in arranging accommodations and transportation for us when we decided, for our convenience, to leave the tour a day early. But most of all, thank you for immediately jumping in to assist Wes with the medical attention he needed when he was feeling ill. It’s frightening to be ill while out of the country and not accessible to the medical facilities that we are so accustom to in the United States. With your assistance, he was able to recover quickly to enjoy a wonderful trip.

Greetings from Sun City Palm Desert.

After many years of traveling overseas, Don and I found the most outstanding travel group to go with...doors2italy. From the first introduction to our tour guide, bus driver and our travel group in Florence, we knew we would be in good hands.
Our English speaking tour guide is well versed in Italy's fantastic art museums and local history.

The tour's daily scheduling, our hotel rooms and restaurant stops exceeded our expectations. Kristina made it easy to know our fellow travelers. She organized a secret pal exchange whereby we were to purchase a gift for a fellow traveler. This encouraged us to learn more about the people on the tour. What fun but yet bittersweet when we exchanged our gifts and said good bye to our new friends.

Don and I highly recommend doors2italy.

Dear Kristina,

Thank you!!! Your personal "rookie tour" was amazing. We saw more than we could have imagined seeing and experienced the best dining EVER! We can't thank you enough!
